World War Z takes top of the charts

Saber Interactive’s cooperative take on World War Z, published by Mad Dog Games, debuted at No.1 in the UK physical weekly charts. Sales went massively in favour of the PS4, with 62 per cent of the copies shifted going to Sony’s console, versus 38 per cent for the Xbox One.

There was another new entry in the Top Ten this week, Maximum Games’ Snooker 19, which debuted at No.9. Again, the PS4 took 64 per cent of the sales, against only 36 per cent for the Xbox One.

Further down the charts, My Time at Portia, developed by Pathea and published by Team17, entered the charts at No.27 with the Switch being the strongest platform this time, accounting for 66 per cent of the copies shifted, versus 23 per cent for PS4 and ten per cent for Xbox One.

Meanwhile, the rest of the Top Ten remained relatively unchanged, with FIFA 19 still steady at No.2 while The Division 2 lost two places to No.3 after two weeks at the top.

It’s worth noting that Anthem is back in the Top 40 after two weeks away from the charts. Promotions on the PC version boosted sales for the title, which went up 206 per cent week-on-week across all platforms and helped push EA’s title back to No.15.

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster also re-entered the charts, at No.20, thanks to the release of the Switch version.
