The fight for No.1 was a fierce one this week, with Yoshi emerging victorious with Crafted World selling exactly 63 more copies than The Division 2. This new Yoshi adventure is the first outing of the character on Switch and it has shifted 27.6 per cent more units than 3DS title Yoshi’s Wooly World did at launch. GfK also pointed out that it’s the character’s first No.1 in the UK so it’s overall a very good performance for Nintendo.
Meanwhile, The Division 2 had to settle for another week at No.2, with a 51 per cent drop week-on-week. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice saw its sales decrease 65 per cent for its second week in the charts and made it to No.3.
Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed III Remastered debuted at No.9, with 72 per cent of the copies going to PS4 versus 28 per cent to Xbox One. The title will release on Switch on May 21st.
Avalanche Studios’ new IP Generation Zero, published by THQ Nordic, had a pretty quiet debut, only charting at No.19. Generation Zero’s digital version is Avalanche’s self publishing debut.
Further down the charts, The Walking Dead: The Final Season, rescued by Skybound after Telltale closed, debuted at No.23, while Deep Silver’s Outward made it to No.24 for its first week in the charts.
