Critically-acclaimed indie hit Fez is coming to physical retail for the first time – three years after its launch.
Polytron’s innovative platformer, which was one of the subjects of documentary Indie Game: The Movie, was originally launched on Xbox 360 back in mid-2012, later coming to PC, PS4 and Vita.
Now a premium boxed version of the title is being released, comprising of DRM-free versions of the game for PC and Mac, a canvas-bound hardcover notebook in a matching gold foil-inlaid slipcase and a copy of Fez’s soundtrack by Disasterpeace.
Creator Phil Fish designed the limited edition release, having remained quiet since the abrupt cancellation of sequel Fez 2 and Fish’s subsequent departure from games development in 2013.
Only 500 copies of Fez Physical Deluxe will be issued, with the price coming in at 68 plus international shipping from Canada. It launches on December 18th.
