Gamestation reveals new store opening drive

The GAME-owned specialist retailer revealed the details at its annual conference, Gamefest.

We will be opening a dozen or so stores pre-Christmas and this will include Hull, which will be the second largest games store in the UK,” said Gamestation commercial director Martyn Gibbs.

Our key messages at Gamefest are consistent with previous years – that our store managers make the difference at Christmas and, supported by the team in York, we will be looking forward to an exciting festive period.”

Fat Chris is back and will deliver our key brand differential approach in a fun and unique way. The product that will support the execution makes it easy, of course, with such a cracking line-up across all formats.”

We have some really exciting plans for the new Hull store. The team, led by Marcos Dinsdale, will deliver the best games experience in the UK – and lay down a challenge to our flagship Birmingham store,” he added.

It will be focused on our brand and we will be the only authentic games retailer that will satisfy all the needs of a gamers lifestyle – a grand statement and one we are going to fulfil in Hull.”
