Art design group becomes the latest to join the British industry association

Midway splinter studio Atomhawk joins Tiga

Atomhawk, the art studio formed from the ashes of Midway Newcastle, has become the latest group to join industry association Tiga.

Atomhawk Design is based in Gateshead, and is staffed by some of the employees from the defunct Midway studio, which closed in July last year.

Led by Cumron Ashtiani – the former studio art director at Midway Newcastle – the team offers a range of services from character, concept and environment design to story-boarding, marketing visuals and video production.

“Joining TIGA is part of the evolution of the company,” Ashtiani says.

“As the company grows and matures we felt it was important to become part of the thriving UK development community that TIGA represents.”
