Darksiders II for PS4 spotted on Amazon

Nordic looks to be preparing a handful of its IPs for an HD re-release on next-gen consoles.

AllGamesBeta spotted a listing for Darksider II: Definitive Edition for PS4 hidden on Amazon’s website.

Also spotted were listings for Legend of Kay HD (PS4), The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 (PS4, Xbox One), MX vs. ATV Supercross Encore Edition (PS4) and Arcania: The Complete Tale (PS4).

All of the games carried a placeholder date of December 31st 2015, suggesting none of them yet have a release date. Officially, at least.

Nordic swooped for a handful of former THQ IPs in 2013 including Darksiders, Red Faction, Stuntman, Full Spectrum Warrior, Destroy All Humans, MX vs ATV, Supreme Commander, Frontlines, Juiced and Titan Quest.

It subsequently acquired De Blob as well as the THQ brand itself.

Last year the company released The Darksiders Collection on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. It has previously expressed a desire to produce a third title in the series, although it is dependent on finding the right development partner and adequate funding.
