SCEE reveals PSP academic development programme

In a session at the Games:Edu day of the Develop 2007 conference, Sarah Lamari, manager of DevNet at Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, has announced a deal to allow universities to have access to development-standard PSP tools for teaching purposes.

Rounding off a talk dedicated to how SCEE can help universities, Lamari revealed that by signing a non-commerical agreement with SCEE, universities will be able to purchase the same PSP hardware and tools used by professional studios at a discount price.

Students will also be given accounts for a special branch of the SCEE developer website, with documentation, source code and discussion forums to nurture cooperation.
