Recent additions bolster line-up

New sessions for Develop conference

With the start date for the Develop conference looming nearer, the final finishing touches have been applied to the schedule.

Taking place from July 24th-26th at the Hilton Metropole Hotel in Brighton, UK, the Develop conference is Europe’s biggest gathering of development talent – and is just two weeks away.

The Mobile day, taking place on the 24th, has been bolstered by two new additions: the Eidos Mobile Session presented by Paul Gouge of Rockpool Games, and ‘All Together Now: How can operators work together to put mobile games on the map’, a panel discussion featuring representatives from O2, T-Mobile, Orange, IOMO and ELSPA.

Furthering the theme of user-generated content running throughout much of the conference, Jim Purbrick from Linden Labs Brighton will be presenting ‘Second Life: The challenges and opportunities of user-generated content.’

Also added to the Coding strand are three talks on multi-threading: ‘Multithreading at Rare’ from Richard Geary and the Intel-presented ‘Practical multi-threading for game performance’ and ‘Introducing the Intel Threading Building Blocks.’

Finally, two sessions have been added to the Production track: ‘Meeting the challenge of Next Gen content creation’ from Autodesk and ‘Using Hansoft for scheduling, tracking, agile and QA in game development projects.’
