Square Enix has officially revealed a new Star Ocean title is in development for an upcoming release on PlayStation consoles.
Kotaku has the first proper look at Star Ocean 5: Integrity and Faithlessness, which is currently being developed by Tri-Ace for PS3 and PS4 platforms.
The game will boast seamless events” in addition to traditional cut scenes, including scenarios where enemies attack you and branching outcomes depending on how the fight concludes.
A Japanese release is all that’s planned for the moment, and no release date was provided for the region as of yet. Given Star Ocean’s history with coming west, fans of the series residing outside of Japan should eventually be in for some good news.
