German studio Crytek is hoping to start licensing out its next-gen games tech CryENGINE2 once the software has been shown publically for the first time at GDC this March.

Crytek tech gets first showing at GDC

Crytek, currently working on PC-exclusive game Crysis for Electronic Arts, will be demonstrating the new CryENGINE2 middleware to both the public as well as potential future licencees, with the team hoping to show both professional developers and modders the tools used to by its new game.
