Publisher confirms series revival in the offing

Tony Hawk and Activision working on new game

Skateboarding icon Tony Hawk and publisher Activision are working on a new game together.

Speaking during a radio interview, Hawk said he was working on a new entry in the long-running series while discussing past Pro Skater titles. The show’s co-host also suggested motion capture was involved in the project, stating "It’s a whole suit you have to put on".

The new project was later confirmed to IGN by Activision.

"Activision can confirm that they have something in the works with Tony Hawk, more info is coming soon," said a spokesperson.

There is no current news on what developer is working on the project. The most recent titles in the series, including Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD, Tony Hawk: Shred and Tony Hawk: Ride, were developed by Chicago-based studio Robomodo.
