A daily magazine will be introduced at Gamescom this year – courtesy of the teams behind Develop and MCV.
Our parent firm Intent Media has signed an important deal with event organiser Koelnmesse to become exclusive international media partner at Gamescom – and also produce the Gamescom International Daily.
The Daily will be published three times during the trade days of the games fair, which runs from August 13th to 17th in Cologne, Germany.
Serving international English-language speaking attendees at the show, the daily magazine will provide indispensible news and updates on unveilings at the show, insight from exhibitors, useful market data – plus an all-important exhibitor directory and meeting planner.
The Daily will also be supported by a comprehensive email newsletter campaign and further support on MCVuk.com.
Now in its sixth year, Gamescom has become the biggest games event on the planet. The event runs from August 13th to 17th, with a three day trade show starting on the 13th and an open-to-all consumer expo starting the following day, August 14th.
Overall attendance in 2013 was up 23 per cent – with trade attendees totalling 29,600 (52% of them from outside of Germany). Over 6,000 journalists and media were in attendance.
“The Gamescom International Daily powered by MCV will be a go-to resource during the show thanks to its mix of timely, original content plus show guide and exhibitor insight,” said MCV publisher Michael French.
“We are very proud to be partnering with Koelnmesse on putting together a brand new trade resource that can only grow and grow in stature in the years ahead as Gamescom continues to shape the global games agenda.”
The Gamescom International Daily will offer a variety of marketing and sponsorship opportunities to support all kinds of budgets – whether you are a Gamescom exhibitor or not.
