Peter Lovell leaves NaturalMotion for Jagex

As reported by PocketGamer.biz, Peter Lovell has left his position as head of talent acquisition at NaturalMotion to rejoin his former employer Jagex.

Lovell had worked for the RuneScape developer for eight years before leaving for NaturalMotion in 2015, working up to his position. He will now return to Cambridge to become director of talent acquisition. On his LinkedIn page, Lovell’s job description simply says "IM BACK AT JAGEX!!!"

"I’m hugely proud of my contribution over the two years there and will be forever grateful to everyone at NaturalMotion and Zynga for their support," he told PocketGamer.biz. "I’m truly blessed to have the opportunity to be returning to a company that is such a huge part of my own history and professional DNA. You can take the man out of Jagex, but you never take Jagex out of the man."

During his time at Oxford-based NaturalMotion, Lovell helped the studio acquire talent for its two big releases, Dawn of Titans and CSR2. Before entering the games industry back in 2007, Lovell worked as a recruitment consultant.

Jagex has ramped up production in recent times with a relaunch of RuneScape, the release of OldSchool RuneScape, and other games tied in to the RuneScape universe including a collectable card game and an Amazon Alexa skill.
