David Ismailer becomes 2K President

Take-Two Interactive have announced David Ismailer as president of 2K, following the departure of Christoph Hartmann last month.

Ismailer has been with 2K since its inception and was most recently the COO and senior vice president of publishing operations for the label. Previously he joined Take-Two in 2002 as a VP and senior counsel and before that was practicing law.

"David is one of our most driven and dedicated leaders, who has a proven track record of success and an overwhelmingly profound sense of team,” said Take-Two CEO and chairman, Strauss Zelnick, in a statement. “Since the formation of 2K, he has played an integral role in its evolution to become one of the industry’s premier labels that is renowned throughout the world for its portfolio of iconic franchises. We are confident that under David’s leadership, 2K will continue to flourish and reach exciting new heights for many years to come.”

Ismailer added his own statement, saying: "Having been at 2K since day one, I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside some of the most talented and committed professionals in our industry. I am immensely proud of what we have achieved together. My goal is to enable and empower our teams further, and to provide them with the opportunity to build upon our rich history of creating innovative and engaging entertainment experiences for audiences around the world.”
