He'll be overseeing all development projects

Good Catch hire Mark Oxenham as head of development

Good Catch, Endemol Shine Group’s newly launched games development and publishing arm, has announced Mark Oxenham as it’s inaugural head of development, who will be in charge of Good Catch’s internal studios, but also overseeing all of their projects.

Oxenham previously held the role of lead programmer at VR Studio in the Netherlands, but has previous at Codemasters, R3D Pixel and Codemasters.

He’ll report directly to Good Catch managing director Anil Mistry, who has said in a statement: "We are really pleased that Mark has decided to join Good Catch and be a key lead figure during our growth for the coming year and beyond. His expertise in Unity development and management will help shape the business as we move forward."

Mark added: "“I am thrilled to join such a talented team and very much looking forward to working with them to produce many more exciting original and branded IP games. Already I can see that this is a very strongly positioned company with great aspirations and amazing potential.”

When it comes to branded IP, Endemol has a strong stable. Big Brother, Humans, Black Mirror, Masterchef and even Peaky Blinders are all Endemol properties, and that’s just a couple of the TV shows the production company holds the rights to. In terms of original games, they’ve already released KSI Unleashed for mobiles, a collaboration with controversial youtuber KSI, and are soon to launch multiplayer stealth & stabber Black & White Bushido.
