Audio specialists, designers, artists and animators among vacancies listed

Dead Rising studio Capcom Vancouver hiring UE4 devs

If you’re a developer familiar with Unreal Engine 4, Capcom Vancouver is looking for people just like you.

The Canadian creator of Dead Rising has remained largely quiet since 2013’s Dead Rising 3.

It also released Dead Rising 2 and its accompanying add-ons Case West and Case Zero under its former moniker, Blue Castle Games – taking on the Capcom name after being acquired by the publisher in 2011.

The studio is seeking coders familiar with Unreal Engine 4 to work on unspecified ‘upcoming projects’, announcing its desire to work with Epic Games’ technology for the new releases.

Among the various positions available on the outlet’s careers site are openings for audio specialists, designers, artists and animators.

“We have some ambitious visions for where we want to take our next games and while our previous proprietary engine served the needs for the projects at the time, shifting to Unreal Engine 4 delivers the right tools for our future direction,” said studio director Joe Nickolls.

“Not only will we be developing on a powerful and versatile platform, we’ll also work closely with the team at Epic to maximise the capabilities of the latest and greatest technology. Using this industry leading engine also allows us to quickly integrate new talent onto our projects so that we can focus on pioneering new world class entertainment.”
