A unique new role has been added to the ranks of Ubisoft’s development empire: Chief Parkour Officer.
The publisher has hired professional free runner Michael ‘Frosti’ Zernow as CPO to help with the parkour aspects of the best-selling Assassin’s Creed series, according to CVG.
Zernow is part of Tempest Freerunning, a notable group of parkour atheletes, and has previously performed in motion capture sessions for various games. Now he has been brought in to ensure the "authenticity and accuracy" of the Creed games.
A Ubisoft PR said he will "serve in a strategic advisory role, ensuring an ongoing commitment to the authenticity and accuracy of parkour beginning with the October 28th launch of Assassin’s Creed Unity".
Ubisoft is also creating a free-running obstacle course for this month’s San Diego Comic Con, with the new Chief Parkour Officer in attendance.
Should make for an interesting instalment of Get That Job.
