About the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo
Whether it's your "first rodeo" or you're a lifelong fan, the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo (FWSSR) offers a diverse array of thrilling rodeo formats that celebrate the rich traditions of the West. The Best of the West Ranch Rodeo showcases the real-life skills of working cowboys and cowgirls as they ride and rope under the bright lights of the amazing Dickies Arena. Bringing the vibrant culture of the Mexican charreria to life, the Best of Mexico Celebración captivates fans with daring charro exploits, escaramuza sidesaddle drills, folklorico dancers, and mariachi music. The Cowboys of Color Rodeo unites African American, Hispanic, and Native American competitors to showcase traditional rodeo events while celebrating the diversity and uniqueness of the Western way of life. For the adrenaline junkies, the Last Cowboy Standing features the world's 40 toughest bull riders battling it out for a $50,000 winner's payday. But the excitement doesn't stop there. Kid Rock's Rock N Rodeo Qualifier brings a modern twist to tradition, with rodeo teams coached by icons of the sport competing for the ultimate team championship. To top it all off, the FWSSR PRORODEO Tournament puts a $1.5 million purse on the line as the sport's most elite athletes compete in events like barrel racing, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, bull riding, and more.
Beyond the rodeo action, the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo offers unforgettable entertainment for all ages. Whether it's an awesome jam or first-rate comedy, catch one of the great acts in the Auditorium Entertainment Series. Mustang Magic showcases the incredible connection between horse and human, as trainers transform wild mustangs into skilled and loyal partners. The FWSSR is all this and much more. Carnival / Midway, cuisine for every taste, children's activities, rodeo shopping, livestock and horse shows; it's all waiting for you so purchase your tickets now.

Attending the FWSSR with the family and walking the barns after the rodeo with the grandkids is an annual birthday tradition. Always a good time. But three negatives from this year: (1) The price of our 200-level seats skyrocketed. I paid it; but I thought hard. (2) The 11:00 show on 1/27 ran long. Not sure why. Tough on little kids. (3) Please bring back the afternoon matinees. Coming from out of town as we do, 11:00 a.m. is too early (and causes lunch issues) but 7:30 p.m. is too late .
First time ever going and for sure will not be our last. Had an amazing time watching talented rodeo stars compete. The crowd was enthusiastic and the show was put in very well. Highly recommend to all!
I have never been in any venue in the WORLD that is better than Dickie’s Arena in Fort Worth , Texas. In all of my travels, I have never experienced a more friendly, caring, joyful, and professional group of employees than what I was introduced to at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo!!! The parking was extremely easy getting in and out. The cleanliness of the grounds were immaculate even after three weeks of nonstop traffic. The arena was spotless from top to bottom. The sound system and video production were PERFECT!!! Security was inconspicuous at at every corner. It was like “going home” again!! Thank everyone involved for one of the greatest experiences I’ve had in over 60 years of travel!!! What a FANTASTIC event!!!!
As every year the FWSSR just keeps getting better and better. We did 4 performances this year, should have attended more!
The Dickies arena is beautiful. Smaller on scale gives you a better seat in the 2nd level.
If you have the opportunity visit Fort Worth in January and go see the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. The Dickies Arena is a marble palace! Definitely will be worth your time.
Before option rodeo is always a great event to attend. We have attended for the last 25 years and we are proud to see it at the new dickies Arena. Major improvement with that arena helps with viewing and the acoustics. Not a bad seat in the house.
Perfect night for my first rodeo with an amazing ambiance!
Wonderful time show was great and Fort Worth is worth visiting!
