Lyon Game MD Julien Villedieu said that his firm and CMP have decided to team up in order to "to provide a relevant and efficient environment for carrying out serious Games projects."
Taking place in Lyon, France on December 4th at the Lyon Centre des Congres, the event promises to take a European look at what video gaming can do, and what developers can do with video games, outside of the traditional entertainment field.
It’s the second year for the Serious Games Summit Europe, and 500 visitors are expected to attend and see exhibitors from over 15 countries in an attempt to forge links between the games industry and companies in education, health and government fields. Lyon Game has also attracted the likes of l’Oreal, Lego and Thales to the show as the overlap between industries continues.
Added Philippe Renaudin, project manager of Serious Games Summit Europe: “Up to now video game technology has always been considered as mere entertainment, but now things are getting serious with fields as diverse as administration, education, marketing, defence and so forth getting interested.”
