Gfinity has hired EA veteran Shaun White as their head of communications.
White previously had a similar role at Electronic Arts, but the during a restructure by the games company that saw regional teams across europe downsized, he left the company.
“I had a fantastic 12 years at EA and now I’m looking forward to bringing that experience into my role at Gfinity,” White said in a statement. “There is a lot of excitement around both Gfinity’s Elite Series and esports in general and my goal is to increase awareness of both and build long-term strategic partnerships."
White joined EA in 2005 as the company’s senior PR manager, coming to the company from Square Enix, where he was employed as a PR manager.
Gfinity are currently midway through the second season the Gfinity Elite Series, broadcast from their London esports arena. The esports company has been growing outwards in recent months, buoyed with a recent funding £7m funding round, several new hires and interest in the Gfinity Elite Series in general.
