Paul “ReDeYe” Chaloner, who is best known as an eSports host, has today launched a new eSports agency called Code Red.
The agency will act in a variety of ways, from consulting on all eSports matters through to providing broadcast talent for events. The agency will also help design in game elements such as spectator tools and will even host workshops to educate people on the world of eSports.
Paul is not the only person involved. Dota 2 caster Austin “Capitalist” Walsh is also on board as are Luke Cotton and Ben Woodwood, two former members of ESL UK with years of experience in the scene.
In terms of the talent representation side the organisation already has more than a few big names signed up alongside Austin and Paul. Shane “SHANEOMAD” Clarke, Beth “LittleFreeman” Freeman, Ramesh “r2k” Singh and Chanel “SUCCUBUS” Van Der Merwe are all part of the on air talent list, while stats man Ben “Noxville” Steenhuisen and photographer Julian Erksmeyer make up the off air group.
“I’m extremely excited to be able to advise, help and represent industry talent,” said Chaloner. “Over the last couple of years, demand for high quality talent has gone up, but not always the standards. It’s our goal to work with talent and organisers to help improve professionalism and conditions. We are thrilled to have Shane, Beth, Ramesh, Chanel, Ben and Julian join me and Capitalist already with more to come soon.
“We’ve already been working for the last eight months behind the scenes on building the company and have already gained some incredible clients that we are privileged to have worked with. It is a testament to our expertise, knowledge and passion for esport that these companies trust us to advise them in such a volatile but exciting industry.”
