Bandai Namco has revealed that fan favourite characters Krillin and Piccolo will be joining the roster for fighting game Dragon Ball Fighter Z
Dragon Ball Fighter Z is based on the Dragon Ball manga series by Akira Toriyama, but also the well known anime. The unreleased game has been attracting attention due to fans of the license but also because early players have been overwhelming positive about the game’s controls and combat.
It’s not known exactly where Piccolo and Krillin will fit into the meta of the unreleased game, but Piccolo is a green-skinned character who can attack from distance with stretchy arms in a manner akin to Street Fighter icon Dhalsim and is described as being largely a technical fighter. Krillin can heal at long range, and has a variety of other tricks up his sleeve to infuriate his opponents.
Krillin and Piccolo will star in the game’s closed beta, which will occur this year. Sign ups are planned to open for the beta from July 26. Other characters on the roster are Trunks, Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, Frieza, Buu, and Perfect Cell. The game will release in 2018.
