Mobile specialist Archos says device will work across Android, iOS and Windows Phone

£25 virtual reality headset arriving next month

Archos is releasing a virtual reality headset next month for just £24.99, which will be compatible with almost any smartphone.

The Archos VR Glasses are can house any smartphone up to 6-inches long, and reportedly connects to all operating systems, including iOS, Android and Windows Phone. Archos claims the device will also be compatible with over 100 VR apps.

An upcoming Archos Video Player update will also let users watch 3D videos in a stereoscopic mode on their mobile. 

The Archos VR Glasses will be on shelves this November.

"Consuming digital content has gone through lots of revolutions lately," said Archos CEO Loïc Poirier. "Virtual reality is another one that we help sharing with people by providing high quality yet attainable devices."
