Jayson Hilchie steps up to lead trade body representing Canada's game industry

ESA Canada welcomes new president and CEO

Jayson Hilchie has joined The Entertainment Software Association of Canada as president and CEO.

Formerly having served to promote the games industry in his home province of Nova Scotia as director of the organisation NSBi, Hilchie will now lead ESAC in representing the interests of the 16,000 developers at work in the wider Canadian games industry, which serves as home to over 350 industry companies.

"Jayson has been tasked with leading an effective industry association as it continues to represent a highly dynamic, cutting edge and evolving sector of the Canadian economy," said Craig Hagen of Electronic Arts, and chair of ESAC. "He will bring a tremendous experience and energy to the job and we’re thrilled to have him on board."

Hilchie’s assumes his new role with immediate effect.
