It’s a busy week in the UK charts this week, and Warner Bros’ Injustice 2 has emerged as the champion.
The brawler has matched the achievement of its predecessor by debuting in first place, grabbing Warner’s first UK No.1 this year. It’s the first beat ’em up to top the charts since Mortal Kombat X in 2015.
There’s also good news for the VR market – Sony’s PSVR title Farpoint debuts at No.2, making it the highest ever charting VR-only game, bettering the previous record holder PlayStation VR Worlds which debuted at No.7.
The Top 10 action doesn’t end there, with Nintendo’s Fire Emblem Echoes:
Shadows of Valentia claiming fifth place in its first week and Focus’ The Surge managing a 10th place debut.
As a result, last week’s No.1, Prey, falls to fourth spot while Mario Kart 8 Deluxe can managed only sixth. LEGO Worlds, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Horizon Zero Dawn all fall out of the Top 10.
The only other new entry is 505’s Portal Knights which claims 30th. Destiny: The Collection also re-enters the listings in 31st.
