A big screen adaptation of Temple Run is reportedly in the works.
The Hollywood Reporter’s sources claim Warner Bros. is in negotiations to adapt Imangi Studios’ endless runner franchise into a major motion picture.
According to the report, the film’s story would consist of "an explorer who, having stolen an idol from a temple, is chased by demonic forces.”
The report also states that producer David Heyman is attached to the project. Heyman is known for his work on the Harry Potter series as well as the recently released space thriller, Gravity.
Temple Run isn’t the first hit mobile franchise to get the feature film treatment. Earlier this year, Sony scored the exclusive rights to an Angry Birds adaptation due out in 2016.
