Gamescom 2018’s early bird registration just ended and organiser Koelnmesse reported a 13 per cent increase in exhibitor applications year-on-year, as well as a ten per cent increase in the amount of exhibition space booked.
Companies from 40 countries have already registered, with 16 country pavilions already confirmed, which is also on the rise compared to the same period last year, the announcement further said.
The ‘fan shop arena’ is also growing, as registrations during the early bird period were up 65 per cent year-on-year.
Among the companies that have already signed up for Gamescom 2018 are Bandai Namco, Bethesda Softworks, CD Projekt, Deep Silver/Koch Media, EA, Epic Games, Google, Konami, Microsoft, Ubisoft, Square Enix, THQ Nordic, Wargaming, Warner Bros, and much more.
Gamescom 2018 will take place from August 21st to 25th this year, with MCV being a partner for the fourth year. Tickets went on sale on March 1st and can be purchased on the event’s website.
Last year, Gamescom hit new milestones, with around 355,000 visitors (including 30,700 trade visitors) from 106 countries. 919 exhibitors were on site, coming from 54 countries.
