Gale Force Esports has lifted the trophy on the Rocket League season four World Championship, taking home the majority of the $150,000 prize pool.
The team beat Method 4-3 to send them to the losers bracket, before beating them again in the grand final 4-0, a clean sweep that earnt victors Gale Force Esports $55,000.
Despite the adage, there were prizes for second place, and Method is taking home $30,000 for their efforts, which saw them beat Cloud9 4-2 in the losers final to return in the grand final for a second chance to beat Gale Force Esports.

The two teams were the last standing out of the ten that travelled to Washington D.C for the finals, with Cloud9 finishing in third place ($16,000) and G2 Esports in fourth ($11,000).
This caps off Rocket League’s fourth competitive season, and the final official competition of 2017. Season five will kick off in 2018.
