Big news for Rainbow Six Siege’s Pro League today as FNATIC joins the list of big name organisations to buy into the game’s esports community, acquiring the Australian Mindfreak roster.
Mindfreak’s roster is one of the best in the Asia-Pacific region, so there’s no question that FNATIC have come into the esport intending to make an impact.
We won’t have to wait long to see FNATIC’s new roster in action: the eight best teams from the Asia-Pacific region will face off in Sydney, Australia from April 14-15, as part of the Pro League’s Season 7. The winner of this will be crowned with the title of best Asia-Pacific team for Season 7, but the two finalists will also head to Atlantic City in the United States to compete in Season 7’s global final on May 19-20.
They’re one of just two Australian teams competing in the event, joined by fellow Aussie team ViewSonic.DarkSided.

It also proves that the Pro League is evolving towards a more robust and global model.”

They’ve bought in at a good time, as this is the last Rainbow Six Siege season to span just three months. From this point onwards, each year will be comprised of two six-month seasons in the Pro League, starting when Season 8 kicks off in June 2018.
