Titan announces Wolfenstein, Dishonored and Evil Within comics

A trio of Bethesda properties are getting the graphic novel treatment courtesy of Titan Comics.

The Wolfenstein title will be a prequel to the upcoming Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, which was announced at E3. It will star the game’s protagonist BJ Blazkowic, who leads the resistance against Nazi occupied America.

It will be written by Limbo and Assassin’s Creed: Uprising author Dan Watters with art by Dark Souls artist Piotr Kowalski and The Mummy artist Ronilson Freire.

Dishonored: The Peeress and the Price, meanwhile, will tie in to some of the upcoming DLC for Dishonored 2. It focuses on a conflict between Emily Kaldwin and politician Archibald Dufrane, which is complicated when Emily’s powers begin to falter. It’s written be Roche Limit’s Michael Moreci with art by Andrea Olimpieri and Mattia Iacono.

The Evil Within title takes place immediately before the events of the second game, with Detective Sebastian Castellanos still recovering from the events that took place in the Beacon Mental Hospital. It’s written by Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of Wat III writer Ryan O’Sullivan with art by Damien Worm and Spider-Man’s Szymon Kudranski.

The Evil Within #1 will be the first to arrive, going on sale on September 6th. This will be followed by Wolfenstein #1 on September 13th and Dishonored: The Perress and the Price on September 27th.

Bethesda’s E3 showcase last week gave us more details on projects we already knew about and confirmed a couple of brand new titles heading to retail this year.

The Switch version of The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim is certainly a big title for owners of Nintendo’s machine, and Bethesda has confirmed that the SKU will include some Zelda-themed apparel that is obviously not present in existing versions.

On the new game front, Wolfenstein 2 was announced, although a pre-conference leak meant it wasn’t the biggest surprise. BJ Blazkowicz returns to fight once more for the Nazi resistance in an alternative reality where the Nazis occupied the US. Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus is due out on October 27th.

There’s also a new Dishonored on the way. Dishonored: Death Of The Outsider is a standalone adventure due out on September 15th. It stars the Knife of Dunwall DLC’s Billie Lurk. Players will not need to own Dishonored 2 to play it. It has a US RRP of $30.

A sequel to The Evil Within was also confirmed, along with a release date of October 13th. Players will again play as detective Sebastian Castellanos who is now on the hunt for his daughter.

Bethesda also unveiled two titles for virtual reality fans – the already confirmed Fallout 4 VR and the new Doom VFR, the former of which will launch on the HTC Vive in October.
